DRAINAGE
SYSTEM:
This Corporation maintains a very wide range of drainage
system as per the details furnished below.
1. MSWC - 25Kms. (Main Strom Water
Channel)
10 work
orders have been issued involving an amount of Rs.
29,16,900/- on respect of
M.S.W.C. The works are in progress.
2. BSWC - 29 KMs. (Branch Storm Water
Channel)
2 work
orders have been issued in respect of BSWC involving an
amount of Rs.5,64,200/-. The works are in progress.
3. Surface Drains 660 Kms. In respect
of Surface Drains 68 Nos.of
workorders have
been issued to different agencies involving an
amount of Rs.46,15,948.00.
4. Kacha Drain - 72.46 Kms.
DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE AND
DEBRIS 35 nos of Tractors, 4 Tempos and 2
nos. of trucks and 105 workers (permanent- 63 and
temporary- 42) have been engaged for lifting and
disposal of garbages and debrises.
SULABHA SAUCHALAYA
Thirty-six nos. of Sulabha Sauchalayas are being
maintained by Cuttack Municipal Corporation. Apart from
these there are five - half constructed Sulabha
Sauchalayas, which are yet to be operational.
WELLS
There are 12,834
open wells in the Municipal Area. Steps have already
been taken to disinfect these wells prior to mansoon.
